District 21

Minutes of Abate District 21 Stated Meetings

 

May 2008

Our meeting was called to order @ 1pm @ The Penthouse in Clinton. The Pledge of Allegiance was held, followed by a moment of silence for all our fallen brothers and sisters.
Secretaries Report: Last months minutes were skipped.
Legislative Report: Wayne gave insight on how they are trying to sneak new laws into the system. One of the matter of opinions is how helmets are saving lives. Other talk on what ABATE stands for and the November ballots.
Treasurers Report: Elvira gave report on Down Biker, Petty cash and PAC.
Inventory Report: PAC was passed and donated.
Old Business: STR stickers are available along with "Look twice 4 motorcycles" yard signs.
Freedom Rally and bike tickets are out for purchase. See Fred or Elvira to receive.
Duties for our district at Rally is: Gate duty, Fri. Midnite-4am and Security duty, Sat. 8am- Noon.
Motorcycle Safety Course is $130.00 June 20-22, July 18-20-Fri. 6pm-10pm and Sat. 8am-5pm.
Miles Rodeo: Shirts were approved at State mtg. They are ordered and will hopefully be in before Junes mtg.
New Business: July 12th ERC in Waterloo @ Noon. RSVP 2weeks prior.
Blood Drive will be June 26th at the Eagles Club in Clinton from 9am-2pm. All are encouraged to go. To give blood is to save a life!
Thank you notes were read from Ringo and Michelle, Terry and Jody.
June 28th is Illinois Big River Chapter Down Biker Run. Starts at The Outpost 11-noon and Whiskey River in Savanna 12-1. Last bike in by 5pm at Hog Dogs in Savanna.

July 3rd-5th: Freedom Rally in Algona, Ia.
July 20th: Dist. Mtg. 1pm @ Hound Dogs in Monmouth, Ia.
